The Travel Certificate also known as Certificate of Identity is a one-way emergency travel document issued to Ghanaian nationals who are not in possession of valid Passports for travel to Ghana. Travel Certificate is usually valid for One (1) month from the date of issue and cannot be renewed. Applicants who apply with a missing passport must present a police report.

How to Apply

Complete the TC application form and submit with evidence of Ghanaian citizenship such as actual or photocopy of expired passport, birth certificate, National ID card, voter’s ID card, or affidavit and two (2) passport size photographs, (size: 45 x 45 mm). Applicants would be required to appear in person for interview by the Consular Officer.
Processing for Travel Certificate (TC) is NIS 300

• In cases where the application does not meet the requirement, the application is sent back to applicant to meet all the requirements. If this happens, the process has to begin all over again.
